Andreas appearance
Petit short women- slender Karen style haircut- dirty blonde straight hair Green eyes- Gloats that green eyes are extremely rare - she loves a discreet reason to make herself seem better than others She has a birth mark on her back in the shape of a moon- she treasures it as she likes the idea of tattoos (not loads of tattoos, she hates that) but secretly is scared of needles so won't get one- meaning in her eyes her birth mark is like her "tattoo".
Clothing Style/Fashion
On a casual basis around the house, she really loves a jumpsuit- feels they "embody her youth" even though she's 46
But for work and on a casual basis she loves knit wear with a bit of class- although she has quite a hippie sense to her so loves her long skirts and wooden jewellery
She loves Dc Martens, as she feels it makes her trendy
Her Living arraignments
She lives in an old school country house on her own near a local farm. She keeps trying to buy one of the farmers horses, but he won't sell them to her. She hates the farmer
She loves her house and her piece and quite- she has that ugly kind of "middle aged white women wall paper" that sticks out like a saw thumb- she loves it.
She surprisingly gets on really well with her neighbours Margret and her husband Steven- more Margret than Steven, but then again Margret is just like Andrea herself- an arsehole
Career/job life
Andrea is a health practitioner (fancy way of saying therapist) who works in a local collage "supporting" students with mental health issues. She also runs life skills session at the collage for those still doing maths and English.
She's satisfied with her job, but if she did win the lottery- she wouldn't even think twice about handing in her resume.
Andrea has never really had a dream job- in reality her dream job was to never work
Financially she is a 2nd class citizen with a teachers wage that reflects that- she bought her fancy country house with the money that was left in her grate aunties will- this women was loaded for context.
Family Life
Andrea has 2 siblings: a brother and a sister- she hates her brother, but loves her sister- which she's always found odd due to the fact that her sister is completely different to each other (her sister being a very nice kind hearted person). Her brother is like her in many ways- which is why they butt heads frequently as board games night gets rather competitive between the two of them. She gets a long fine with both her parents, but finds them both quite boring- although she would never mention this as she does actually love them.
She is single and has no children- she does not like children
Friend Life
Andrea has a strong little group she's kept from collage- they have there little whatsapp group chat, and regularly go on little summer trips. She doesn't have any work friends and actually hates all the other teachers apart from the classics teacher who she can tolerate.
Andrea loves to shit talk- so values a friend that likes to gossip back. Andrea doesn't make friends easily, mainly for the fact she likes to "select" her friends instead of letting them just develop naturally (she hates the idea of being stuck in a relationship were she can't stand the other person)
Pets

She hates cooking so ends up eating out quite a lot- she internally is a very lazy person
She's allergic to shell fish so tends to just stay away from sea food all together, after a traumatising holiday experience when she ate some shell fish accidently and her whole face became swollen up. She looked like a tomato
Travel
Her and her college friends are currently trying to visit every place in the UK within one year- and after they have done that they will try to visit every place in another country within a time limit.
Her favourite country is France because she loves the French language and the food (and the men)
TV, movies, music and books
Her favourite movie is death becomes her- as she's a big Meryl Streep fan
She's also a big fan of the twilight series, and is actually quite the romantic.
Her current favourite song is the chain by Fleetwood Mac, as she feels it adds to her current Hippie vibe that she's in at the moment.
Book wise she loves anything Jane Austin, but currently has also been enjoying meditation books
Andrea's favourite quote at current time is "distractions are everywhere"
Stereotypes
the character is based on:
School councillors
that aren’t trained for counselling but act as if they are, and therefore know
more than the person their trying to help. They always use the same tone to
communicate with these kind of students- very condescending. Also based of methods
that Cahms use to help teenagers in the mental health system, making young
adults feel like children when trying to “help them”. They regularly will prescribe
a cup of tea or a warm bath to “cure” depression, they also like to label depression
as “low mood” instead of depression. Their very good at invalidating the
feelings of people their trying to help.
Why she
have her role as the therapist:
Originally,
she went to collage to do child care- she found it to be “a waste of time” In
her words, when she actually hated the work load, but specifically hated the
fact that a section of her course worked on the theories of intervention that
meet the needs of children and young people. She did not like this because internally
she hates the idea of meeting others needs over her own- over time she has learned
to hide this as she’s realised the impression it creates for other people. Not
that she cares, it just makes people less likely to give her what she wants if
they are aware that she’s self-centred- this is something she learned on a counselling
course that she joined after leaving the childcare course (she didn’t leave the
course she was kicked off) She did not actively choose to join this course she
was unwillingly moved to that course after being to self-absorbed to actually
look after anyone never mind children.
Character analysis and behaviour/personality
Andrea as a person is quite bitter and selfish- she likes her own company and is always the first to mutter under her breath, when she doesn't like someone. She's aware of what she like at hart, but couldn't care less, and in her mind truly feels her internal judge ways makes her a good Jude of character. As unlikely as it is she is quite the observer- analysing people before even meeting them and already understanding a sense of how they communicate. Instead of using this in a positive way that will help her communicate respectfully with new people, she will instead just maintain her same mannerisms. She talks to everyone the same way: condescending high pitched tone, and will not alter it for anyone- even her boss or someone she's trying to "comfort".
Andrea is introvert, yet she doesn't embody the characteristics that your classic introvert will embody. Meaning she doesn't get anxious or tired by regular socialisation, she just hates it. Although this is mainly because a large amount of her socialisation is done at work, meaning she's socialising with people she would rather punch- This includes students not just fellow staff members.
Andrea's not really the small talk type, and when she is in a conversation with someone she actually truly likes, the conversation will drag on for ages (even if she can see that person is very clearly ready to move on from it she will continue to continue it). She either talks to you for hours or she doesn't talk to you at all and instead makes efforts to ignore your existence. From this information it's surprising that she doesn't hate her job enterally, but she actually really enjoys the sense of power she gets from being in charge, using her label of "collage therapist" as a way to make herself feel better about herself, instead of truly caring about the students she trying to support.
Andrea doesn't go to parties, she either hosts them (selecting who she wants to be there, and showing off her fancy house) or avoiding them at all costs- although she has been caught in some of the work ones before. She hated them
Andrea loves being the centre of attention, it fuels her ego and adds to that sense of importance she feels she has within society.
Andrea is a extremely organised person: she also a clean freak and is obsessed with hygiene in a way that she can't stand to be near unhygienic people- and will inform them of there uncleanliness.
Andrea is a very sophisticated person who loves to use big words, and unlike a lot of people who use big words she actually knows what all of them mean. Lets just say the English dictionary is her bible.
Andrea has a large amount of Pet Peeves, that she's actually made note of in a small note book when she was younger. One of which being a lack of hygiene
Almost everything Andrea does can be seen as annoying to others- although I would call her more of an irritating person, in comparison to being annoying. This is mainly because she's an arsehole of a person therefore she's irritating to be around.
Andrea uses her own practises when frustrated or annoyed, such as her most proud creation: the fading in method. To be honest she actually takes her anger out by watching the chase and yelling at contestants that get answers incorrect. She not fully aware that this is how she lets of steam, and is still in the mindset that her "phycological therapy" methods will change the world some day.
When faced with traffic Andrea will actually use the time to catch up on her current podcast rotations, and surprisingly does not find a mass amount of irritation from being in traffic, unless it makes her late and she needs to be somewhere asap then she becomes the kind of person that will get out of their car and start arguing with strangers who are also stuck in the traffic.
Strengths and weaknesses
Andrea is a very good liar. She's very good at manipulating situations to work in her favour- although she does this so often that people are aware of her skill so end up not believing her in the long run.
Andrea learnt to indulge and strengthen her lying as it got her more biscuits from the biscuit tin as a child. She realised from a young age that lying is an easy way to benefit herself more positively. She's never really shaken this habit
One of her greatest weaknesses is being to proud and stubborn to ask for help when she needs it. For example she couldn't figure out how to save a word document, and refused to ask the collage IT staff as she hates the idea of feeling like she can't do things herself (she also thinks they all smell of bio). Long story short she ended up not being able to figure out how to save it- resulting in frustration and her laptop being flung out the window.
To the outside world there is nothing Andrea wishes she could do better. On the inside she wishes she knew how to perfect using heatless rollers
She's obsessed with side table lamps. Literally can't stop purchasing them even though she only uses half of the ones she actually has.
Andrea gets enjoyment from watching homes under the hammer on a Saturday morning with a cuppa. She also gets enjoyment from watching small children fall over.
